This is a heartfelt invitation to join Grandmaster Helen Wu in a personal challenge that honors the wisdom of Chinese martial and healing arts. Alongside her, Grandmaster Simon Hu will also take part in this journey, each of us (students of Wang’s Family Lineage) choosing one beloved routine and practicing it one thousand times over one to three years, carrying on the effective training principles of legendary Chinese hero Dr. Wang Zi-Ping.
A Message from Grandmaster Helen Wu in October 2025
This is not a competition. It’s a spiritual commitment to self-cultivation, longevity, and the preservation of tradition. Through repetition, we refine not only our movements, but our minds and hearts.
Why Participate?
Deepen your spiritual connection to the art
Enhance your physical vitality and mental clarity
Honor the legacy of Dr. Wang Zi-Ping & Grandmaster Wu’s teaching system of Chinese wisdom
No fees, no pressure—just practice, and presence
No matter when you reach your goal, at lease you are making progress every day
A Message from Grandmaster Helen Wu in Feb. 2026
After several months of self-training, we have gained new understanding: Completing such special program is no easy feat. Therefore, we will focus all our energy on training; and may not deliberately pursue formalistic celebrations… When you reach your goal, we will update your achieving date to encourage each other.
From now on, I will encourage all of instructors and students in Wang’s Family of Martial and Healing Arts, to complete at least one routine for the 1000 repetitions challenge in their training-journey. Let’s make positive contributions of set a good example of welness for our society, and at the same time improving our own quality of life.
I hope this kind of self-training will serve as a companion for all of us, as we embark on health and healing journey in the rest of our life!
Here is an encouraging Chinese idiom:
路雖遠,行則將至; Though the journey is very long, we will arrive as long as we keep going;
事雖難,做則必成! Though the task is very difficult, we will succeed as long as we keep doing!
